Galileo Performance Explorer Adds IBM DS8000 Storage Array Agent to its Infrastructure Performance Management Suite

Cloud-based tool expanded to support IBM DS8000 Storage Array Agent for faster, smarter, cost-effective server management


Philadelphia, PA – June 23, 2016 – Galileo Performance Explorer®— the industry’s first easy-to-use, cloud-based integrated infrastructure performance management (IPM) suite for servers, storage, SAN and applications, developed by the ATS Group, has added a new immediately available agent for IBM DS8000 storage arrays.  The new DS8000 agents include deep capabilities for ‘at a glance’ graphical proactive storage performance, capacity and configuration views within Galileo IT Intelligence Dashboards.

The new DS8000 storage array agent includes Galileo’s new IT Intelligence Dashboards which offer simple views and detailed drilldowns for underutilized Storage capacity, showing a global view of all volumes and how much capacity, in groups, might be reclaimable capacity.    Users can customize their own personal DS8000 dashboard by date ranges selecting by System, Volume, Ranks, or Array Sites and then can group the charts that are most important.   Using the new DS8000 agent they can:

  • Observe cluster resources to confirm proper load balancing
  • Monitor storage arrays by drilling deeper into every array component
  • Get visibility into logical user numbers (LUNs), fixed block (FB) and count key data (CKD) volumes, physical hard drives, operational array status, aggregates, Fiber Connect (FC) I/O ports on switches and arrays, and more.
